1 1/2 kilo chicken thigh cutlets
1 cup brown sugar
1 can coca cola
2 medium onions, sliced
4 teaspoons minced garlic
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oil
2 heaped teaspoons cornflour
cold water
salt and pepper to taste.

preheat oven to 180 c.

in a large oven proof pan, heat oil and brown chicken. remove from pan.

in same pan saute onion and garlic till fragrant.

add sugar, coca cola and soy sauce to onion.  bring to boil.

mix the cornflour with enough water to make a thickish paste.

stir cornflour into sauce until thickened.

add chicken back to pan and coat with sauce.

cover and bake for an hour or until chicken is cooked through.

season with salt and pepper.

thicken with more cornflour if necessary.

season with salt and pepper and serve.
