CREAMY SCALLOPED POTATOES with bacon and garlic

8 large potatoes
4 rashers short cut bacon chopped
8 teaspoons minced garlic
salt
2 cups grated cheese
600 mls thickened cream

preheat oven to 180c

peel and slice potatoes.

using a 9 x 13 baking dish, cover base with a layer of potato.

sprinkle with 1 rasher chopped bacon, 2 teaspoons garlic, salt and a handful of cheese.

continue layering with ingredients. lastly tip the cream over the top.

cover with foil and cook for  1 1/2 hours.

remove from oven, remove foil, sprinkle with cheese and return to oven until cheese is melted and brown.
