GOLDEN SYRUP DUMPLINGS
syrup
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
2/3 cup golden syrup
50 gm butter
4 cups water
melt in wide deep pot on medium heat.

batter
3 cups self raising flour
1 1/2 cups milk
50 gm butter
2 tbls golden syrup

rub butter into flour
combine milk and golden syrup
stir into flour till well combined

bring sauce to boil
drop heaped dessert spoons of mix into sauce.
cover
reduce heat to simmer
cook 15 -20 mins till skewer comes out clean.
serve immediately with cream.
